This custom light fixture was designed to remember the ghosts of woodwork past. The craftsman house was heavily damaged by fire, and the renovation budget did not allow for reconstruction of the coffered oak woodwork at the dining room ceiling. The fixture projects light upwards and the grid of the frame casts a shadow grid on the ceiling above, recalling the detail that once was.
